Just received this alert from the American Family Association:

Quench Your Thirst

Posted by Connor on November 8th, 2006

Aqua Sciences has created an interesting product termed “Emergency Water Stations” that convert air into water.
The lower-end model can process 500 gallons/day, while the higher-end model can do 1200 gallons/day.
The Red Cross has some tips about water storage. Just last night I bought three 25 gallon water boxes to add to my storage.
Imagine how [...]

Farewell, Rummy!

Posted by Connor on November 8th, 2006

A day after the midterms election where the Democrats took control of the House (and maybe the Senate), Defense Secretary and neocon-extraordinaire Donald Henry Rumsfeld has announced that he will be stepping down.
Praise be!
He’s said some crazy things over the years, and done far worse, but America will be better off without this man in [...]

It’s Not Yours To Give

Posted by Connor on November 8th, 2006

Our country has increasingly become a socialist, welfare state. I’m inspired by the following (true) story by Davey Crockett which shows how true constitutional government should use its resources and tax dollars.

By Col. David Crockett
US Representative from Tennessee

One day in the House [...]

Breaking Fox News

Posted by Connor on November 7th, 2006

Today is election day. Two days after Saddaam was sentenced to death. A day when Diebold machines are malfunctioning around the country, losing previous votes..
And what does Fox News think the breaking news of the day is?

Presenting Quoty

Posted by Connor on November 6th, 2006

For a long time I’ve wanted a way to categorize and store quotes that I like. I read pretty often, and sometimes I’ll come across a passage or line that I want to save for later.
I tried saving everything into a word document to search through, but that provide to be cumbersome and inefficient. [...]

Leave Your Print

If you haven’t seen the Utah Lt. Governor’s latest propaganda piece for the electronic voting machines, watch the commercial here.
Tomorrow is a great day. It is a day that we, as America citizens, can make our voice heard. But what happens when technology, manipulation, and corruption quells that voice?
Enter the Diebold (and other) [...]

On Stirring Up

Posted by Connor on November 5th, 2006

The scriptures have 77 instances of the words “stir up”. There are synonyms that could be used to expand that number, but I find it interesting how many times these words are used, and in what different ways.
The “stirring up” method, I see, is employed both by men of God (and God [...]

Bye, Saddaam

Posted by Connor on November 5th, 2006

As was suspected a few days ago, we now have our November Surprise.
Saddaam has been sentenced to death.
Oh, and be sure to vote Republican! :::groan:::

Invisible Children

Posted by Connor on November 4th, 2006

My brother just pointed me to the Invisible Children website. I have one word to describe it: WOW.
Their mission:
Invisible Children, Inc. changes culture, policy, and lives through collisions of poverty and power.
The Mission is the ultimate goal of Invisible Children—the resources, skills, and funds that hit the ground in Uganda, providing healthcare, safety, [...]

Vote Against Judge Lewis

Posted by Connor on November 3rd, 2006

Judge Leslie Lewis of the 3rd Judicial District Court has gained some notoriety in recent weeks. And it’s not looking good for her. In fact, there’s a website dedicated to having her removed from the bench in next week’s vote.
The Salt Lake Tribune’s editorial board had this to say about Lewis:
The Tribune’s editorial [...]
