In his memoirs, David Rockefeller, 2002, discusses the accusations made by some regarding Rockefeller complicity in world government and their manipulation of our economic system to meet their goals of world domination. Rockefeller too has the audacity to admit it without compunction. He says in his autobiography:

For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure-one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and am proud of it (David Rockefeller, Memoirs, 2002, Random House: p. 405).

“The United Nations”, Gov. Nelson Rockefeller told an audience at Harvard University, ‘has not been able–nor can it be able–to shape a new world order which events so compellingly demand.’… The new world order that will answer economic, military, and political problems, he said, ‘urgently requires, I believe, that the United States take the leadership among all free peoples to make the underlying concepts and aspirations of national sovereignty truly meaningful through the federal approach.’”

During the Clinton Administration New World Order Socialists publicity appeared. In the U.S. House of Representatives the powerful once popular lobby called the Progressive Caucus now began openly espousing the principles of socialism. Too, they have signed onto the agenda of the Democratic Socialists of America. In his acceptance speech to the Democratic National Convention Clinton mentions a professor who espouses freedom destroying ideas. Clinton said the man was his mentor and was none other than Carroll Quigley, Harvard, Princeton and Georgetown professor emeritus. According to this elitist professor, the power of a certain group of bankers is colossal. Quigley, who admitted being an insider and confidant of this elite secret-society, said:

This network which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists as any other group, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960s, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been close to it and to many of its instruments. Their aim is nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. The system was to be controlled in a feudalistic fashion by central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. (Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope, New York: The McMillan Co., 1966, p 950)

The people running our financial systems, oil, Insurance, weapons sales (Carlye group, Bush Sr. runs), are the ones who have taken control of our government and are the secret combinations Joseph Smith referred to.

D. Michael Stewart, “I Have a Question,” Ensign article, June 1976, p 64-65, stated, “Brethren and sisters, let me say in closing that we have it of record, that the prophet Joseph Smith said the time would come when, through secret organizations taking the law into their own hands, not being governed by law or by due process of law, but becoming a law unto themselves, when, by those disintegrating activities, the Constitution of the United States would be so torn and rent asunder, and life and property and peace and security would be held of so little value, that the Constitution would, as it were, hang by a thread…”

Likewise, just prior to his martyrdom, the prophet warned his people and the nation in 1844 to continually beware of the much concentration of power in the federal government. He feared that an expanding federal bureaucracy would eventually deprive the citizens of [their] free agency. He feared the demise of individual free agency through the rolling tide of bureaucracy with its inevitable controls. Moreover, he was opposed to spending on large scale…and warned the people against those ‘galvanic cronies’ in politics that can do nothing but draw money from the treasury.” (Richard Vetterli, The Constitution by a Thread, p. 185)

The Prophet also “ warned against those individuals who would hope to sell political schemes which had as a result the diminution of individual liberty and free agency—who bring about stretches of power or restrictions of rights which too often appear as acts of legislation to pave the way to some political scheme destitute of intrinsic merit as a wolfs heart is of the milk of human kindness…federal government paternalism…expanding bureaucratic machinery, controls, laws, regulations; concentration of power in the executive, stifling taxes, circumvention of the constitution, indebtedness, inflation, continued devaluation of the dollar.”(p.187)

Everything Joseph spoke of here is happening right now. Power in the executive is more concentrated than ever before. The perfect plan is this fabricated war on terror sparked by the 9/11 events. The New Pearl Harbor.

That being said, on very few occasions have I said that the government was directly responsible for 9/11. Yes, that is one theory. But perhaps they also simply knew about it and turned a blind eye. Perhaps they assisted in it. Perhaps they funded part or all of it. There are so many different levels of involvement possible, and different people who may or may not have known about it and been involved.

Does most of the government have the nation’s best interest at heart? Perhaps. It’s hard to say with all the evidenced corruption, the lobbying, and the career politicians who flip flop as it suits their own personal interests. But you can believe that if you’d like, I won’t try to argue it.

I don’t think you are naive; we simply have different points of view. That’s the great thing about America—we can and should be able to foster that situation.

I’m sorry you think 9/11 conspiracy theories are ludcaris. Many of them are, I would agree. Some are legitimate, but when people outright dismiss the whole lot of them, they fall by the wayside and receive no attention.

At this point, whether or not 9/11 was planned or aided by Uncle Sam becomes less and less important as time moves on. I think the most important issue for us today to address is what has happened since and as a result of the event (such as the Patriot Act) and what will be happening in the near future to those we love. It scares me at times to think about…

You might think I’m naive. While I don’t TIVO C-Span every day to get a dose of Congress’ latest and greatest, I have read enough to see the through the absurdities . I’m not saying the US government couldn’t have done a better job in preventing the attacks, but I bet we all could have done a better job with certain things in our lives – things that we tried our best to do well.

Despite prophecies of evils in the government, and inconsistent ‘details’ in things people say, I think that most people in government do have the nations’ best interest at heart, even Bush. I think most of them want to protect our country and our freedom. They may have different thoughts on how to get there, but allowing – or even planning a devastating attack on native soil isn’t one of those ideas. Sorry, I don’t buy it.

One thing we won’t dispute. Today, the victims of 9-11 know what happened. The suicidal Al-Qaida know what happened. Kind of hard to hide the truth when you’re standing in front of God.
