America: The Most Wicked Nation on Earth

Who is more wicked: the murdering mobster who was raised in a life of crime and hardly knows otherwise, or the life-long Christian man who cheats on his wife? Is a man who was abused as a child and later in life beats his own children more wicked than the woman who has been taught all her life to love her neighbor, yet who harbors a deep animosity for others not like her?

Judged on their face, it is easy to determine which actions themselves are more wicked. Murder is worse than adultery, and abuse is clearly more offensive than animosity. But determining which of the actors are more wicked becomes more tricky, requires more context, and flirts with judgments that one should in many cases leave in God’s hand. But we’re told to judge righteous judgment; God wants us to observe and judge between contrasting choices and circumstances, in order to best determine our own.

God has said, “For of him unto whom much is given, much is required.” This passage of scripture is well known, to the point of it being easily repeated (but perhaps not sufficiently practiced) by most Americans. The verse continues, however, with a striking statement that helps us judge who in these examples may be more wicked.

“He who sins against the greater light shall receive the greater condemnation.”

In other words, those who understand what is right, and then consciously do what is wrong, are more condemned than those who do something that is wrong without fully understanding the nature and consequence of that decision. Wickedness, then, is contextualized by determining the contrast between the light and truth one has received, and the extent to which he has deviated from that standard.

This helps explain why I believe that America is the most wicked nation on earth. This does not mean that other nations or peoples do not commit worse crimes than those which are committed by Americans or their government agents. No single nation has cornered the market on evil actions. It only means that America is held to a higher standard, and has significantly deviated from that standard, because of the “greater light” it was given.

Consider the inspired and well-known words in America’s founding manifesto of its guiding principles—the Declaration of Independence. Some truths were observed to be self-evident: “that all men are created equal” and “that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights,” including (but not limited to) “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

In succeeding years, attempts were made to defend these rights through a constitutional federal framework. And despite all the inconsistencies and imperfections along the way—slavery, failed currencies, unjust wars, and egregious legislation like the Alien and Sedition Acts, among many other things—the American culture, and to a large extent its political systems, were infused with the understanding of the importance of protecting these rights.

That America is no longer.

Despite it being “wisdom in the Father that [we] should be established in this land, and be set up as a free people by the power of the Father,” and despite a historical recognition of self-evident truths, American culture and nearly all of its political systems have progressively come to the point where institutional violations of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness occur routinely and are so entrenched as to be near impossible to purge. What’s worse is that this is not simply tolerated by most—it is openly cheered and defended through twisted logic and emotional rhetoric. Forget boogie men in caves half a world away; we have become our own worst enemy.

Americans have exchanged painful truths for comforting lies. They have set aside a desire to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for the desire to feel secure at all times and from all potential phantoms. “Once we roared like lions for liberty,” said Norman Vincent Peale. “Now we bleat like sheep for security.” And as Benjamin Franklin famously quipped, “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

During his first inaugural address in 1789, President George Washington said: “No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand, which conducts the affairs of men, more than the people of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency.”

Can the same be said of today? Are Americans bound to acknowledge little more than the results of their favorite reality TV program, or the score of the latest sports game?

Americans and the government which rules over them commit plenty of wicked acts. Infanticide occurs on an apocalyptic scale. Millions of innocent people worldwide have been prematurely sent to their death because of immoral and offensive warfare—blood on the hands of Americans once dedicated to life and liberty. Consumerism has become a plague, and Americans purchase things they do not need with money they do not have. The government prints and borrows without abandon, enslaving future generations not yet born. People’s privacy is routinely and systematically violated. The standard of morality has sunk below anything worthy of measuring, and pornography and adultery have become as common as bread and butter. And Americans have come to demand a government that takes care of them for themselves, unwilling to assume personal responsibility.

This list, obviously, could be quite lengthy. And a list compiled for other people and the governments in which they live may have better or worse things. But America is different. Its cultural tradition and political history set a higher standard against which we are to be judged. 25 years ago, Ezra Taft Benson stated that “We are fast approaching that moment prophesied by Joseph Smith when he said: ‘Even this nation will be on the very verge of crumbling to pieces and tumbling to the ground.'” Americans and their governments have had many successes and positive developments in the past two and a half decades, to be certain, but a significant and shocking number of wicked actions are likewise laid at our feet since this statement was made. If we were “fast approaching” this point then, where are we now?

I do not recognize America when its government presumes the authority to kill Americans without any pretense of trial or due process; when the government bans naturally-occurring plants, raw milk, soda, and a lengthy list of other ingestible items; when it incarcerates per capita far more of its citizens than any other nation on earth, most of them non-violent non-criminals; when it kills innocent people on a daily basis around the world, inciting rebellion and violating life and liberty in the very name of “spreading” it. And I do not recognize Americans when they cheer with thunderous applause their degrading morality, deviation from liberty, and dependence upon an ever-increasing tyrannical state.

America is the most wicked nation on earth not because there exists more evil here than elsewhere, but because we have collectively sinned against the greater light. We have, as a society, tolerated a government which has become far worse than the one against which our forefathers rebelled.

As with an individual committing a wicked act, America stands in need of swift and sincere repentance. But like wicked societies of old, Americans generally despise and denigrate those in their midst who rebuke their wickedness and call them to repentance. Consider the political defeat of Ron Paul, who has been prescribing the proper antidode for this disease for decades. Most Americans simply refuse to listen, and many are openly hostile to the slightest of suggestions that we alter course and correct bad behavior.

In light of all of this, it appears that America is unfortunately ripe for destruction. It has happened to previous societies; why would we think ourselves exempt from this natural trend?

Like the Jaredite and Nephite nations, our nation will become desolate prior to a great and marvelous work and the building of New Jerusalem. America is indeed becoming ripe for destruction. A scourge is coming and “upon my house shall it begin.”–D&C 112. Our church is also still under condemnation. Imagine how much greater our condemnation is than our own country.

It breaks my heart to agree with your assessment Connor. Let us prepare temporally (food storage, getting out of debt, etc) and spiritually (repenting, loving/serving our friends, family and even enemies, and by preparing to meet our Maker…). Rough times are ahead. Those of us who know this don’t want to look back to this time and with regret say to ourselves: “I should have _________!!!”

With sadness I must realize that Satan is fighting against God’s plan. With sadness I must realize Satan is fighting FOR the election of Mitt Romney. Satan actually wants Romney to win so he can further bring persecution upon the Church of God. Satan surely doesn’t want a Ron Paul-type president, he would want a Romney-type person who would continue the policies of things like gay marriage (Massachusetts), the doubling of Guantanamo, support of the NDAA, RomneyCare, etc. Just think of the great strides Satan could make if Romney were to become president – – his every action would be used to bring ridicule to not only the USA, but to the Mormon Church!

Hear, Hear, Connor! I can’t speak for others, but “awakening to your awful situation” has been and continues to be – for me – a process; an inspired process. Just as each pride cycle mentioned in the Book of Mormon is actually a story of thousands or 10’s of thousands of individual apostasies, repentance for this country must consist of millions of individual instances of repentance. As we look heavenward (and inward – they’re the same, aren’t they) for guidance, the Lord will lead us to this awakening, to this repentance. I agree with Nick – “Thou sayest hard things unto us”, but they are true, and we each have the promise, through the power of the atonement, that we can return to the right path, and work out our salvation in fear and righteousness.

Until we recognize the fountainhead of evil we have no chance of stopping its pollution. We have Jews controlling our information sources, our music, our movies, porn, prostitution, alcohol. They have taken over our courts, comandeered our constitutional money system into the abomination of the Federal Reserve so the more profligate America spends the more surely our grandchildren are enslaved. Open up your eyes. It’s time to flee their Babylonian Talmudic system.

Connor, I would like to hear your perspective on the prophesies of ‘bearing away the Constitution’ and setting it up again in the New Jerusalem with all God-fearing Christians left in this land, as it won’t be saved by Mitt… oops, I mean in Washington. I was awoken by the persistence of Tyler P. in getting me book after book, until I became addicted to the truth we had been praying and searching for, for some time, and have since been grateful, even though he had know idea how far we would come… just my own conundrums now…

I ‘divorced’ myself emotionally from America (or told myself I did) long ago–

while still trying to do as much good as possible–

looking inwardly and being self-critical is never an easy thing to do–

it’s imperative for human beings to do that, both on a personal level and on a collective (such as a family/community/church/nation) level–

    but it’s painful–

    I agree with you.

    @ #6–

This control is not by “Jews”; some of those who do this may claim to belong to a particular sect of Judaism (or not)–

most involved in these heinous things aren’t religious; if they were they would be more ethically convicted–

Those of *us* who want righteousness stand beside such people as these:
    https://sites.google.com/site/jewsagainstracistzionism/lendman-stephen-top-jewish-american-writer-slams-ethnic-cleansing-and-gross-abuse-of-palestinians

    and these:

    http://www.nkusa.org/

There are many in liberty circles and elsewhere who blame all sorts of ‘crimes’ on “Mormons”–

*we* know that most Mormons aren’t guilty of such crimes–

the same is true with Jews–

there are, perhaps, Mormons heavily involved with Gadiantons; likewise, purportedly there are Jews involved with Gadiantons–

but to claim that “Jews” or “Mormons” are complicit is . . .

collectivizing and not fair or true–

I’ve come to a similar conclusion, that Americans in general have great need of repentance. I pray that minds will awaken and hearts will soften. More than that, I pray and hope that my own family will be protected, since I have greater hopes of that coming to pass than the mass repentance of the nation.

So these deaths would not have occured it we had not been involved? Read this please?http://www.killology.com/art_mass_slaughter.htm
This is what the brave men and women of our military and first responders fight against. I do not agree with the course of action over many things our Gov’t has done. However how do you propose to defend ourselves or retaliate if we do not have a suffiecient military force?

    Connor-

Thank you for reminding me about a scripture that should have been at the forefront of my mind (“For of him unto whom much is given much is required; and he who sins against the greater light shall receive the greater condemnation.”)

I agree with your assessment that the US has become the most wicked nation on Earth. What are we to do, though, if we do see the truth in this and have a desire to repent? The government has enslaved us into participating in its wickedness.

The startling truth is that no matter what moral high ground we sit on, we will always be forced into participating in the wickedness of the nation, so long as our taxes (or tribute) continue to flow into the coffers of our federal government.

Even if I desire to be as the Anti-Nephi-Lehites and refuse to do harm to another man… even if it means that I may lay down my own life in order to defend the principle, the government is taking money out of my pocket to give my neighbor a salary to go and kill people on my behalf.

I ponder these things on a daily basis. As far as I can tell, we have one of two choices if we do not support our government’s wicked actions: 1) We must stop paying taxes which the federal government would then consider as open rebellion against them, or 2) Hope and pray for a collapse of our own government so that we can be free of it’s influence.

Do we really have any other choice besides those 2 choices??? I’m really looking for an answer. I’m expecting somebody to say that we can (and should) become a part of government and change it from the inside out. But, my experience has told me that we are well beyond that point. Additionally, I’m reminded of the Saviour’s statement, “And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.”

I love the United States. I love our history. But our government have become more repugnant to me than almost everything else in the world.

    MuchoBrento,

There is much to admire about our country and our history, however, I have begun to realize that, while I was raised to believe we were the greatest country to ever exist, that everything we ever did as a country was somehow right, we are just as vulnerable to evil as any country that ever existed in history. The more perspective I gain, the more I realize that we have been a part of evil, subject to corruption, power-seeking, lying, propagandizing all this time. I have been lied to. Don’t get me wrong, there have been, throughout our history, individual heroes who have believed in that myth, fought and died for it with pure motives. Those heroes are thoroughly worth our respect – words probably don’t do their contribution justice. Those heroes exist today – they are all around us. Perhaps you are one of them. I hope I can summon up the courage and commitment to stand beside them.

    Sharmon,
I think this is the start of the age of aquarius. Blind faith will fail and decline.

    To all,
As for the rest of the article, it just sounds so neurotic and rather arrogant. Its coming from an LDS perspective which I am assuming the LDS people view as a superior form of the Christian faith? The phrase ‘greater light’ dismisses any other perspective, christian or otherwise. Also seems to serve to damage the LDS psyche. It seems to say whatever you do its never good enough. And yes there is alot of bad things happening, maybe its happening because of faith, not despite it?

Interesting comments by Vera Frisk in #6, sounds paranoid. However there is a theory that adds Islam and Christianity as programs of control, to deprive gentiles of their culture, heritage and spiritual roots. I have discovered that one can have meaning, love, compassion, spirituality, and values without any of the monotheistic faiths. I addition I don’t worry about how I might be judged for the spirituality I know to be true. I am of the conviction that true spiritual knowledge does not generate neurosis, but is grounding, and changes oneself to fit what knowledge is obtained.

I don’t claim to be religious, but a spiritual man I am yes. The scripture says Save YOURSELF from this wicked World. This whole generation and World is wicked period. You don’t need to spend time writing about America being the MOST wicked. Are you a Amercan?? Then YOU are the most wicked huh? My point is stop all your talking and start praying for yourself. Bible says God is in heaven and You upon earth therefore let your words be FEW!

AMEN and I hope this helps your ignorance.

Hate to break it to you. But America has NEVER been the place that the Declaration or Constitution claims. People have been living in hypocrisy since the Beginning. While the government was constructing fancy historical documents of pride, that same government was murdering innocent natives to steal land and resources. This country was built on blood. And there has never been a single day that one could honor it. maybe if you stand under the umbrella of lies and propaganda. Patriotism. A man made idea designed for two purposes. To make fools out of people in order to justify war. The Bible talks much about pride. And it is never good. Some argue that there is a good pride. You can see this type of pride being demonstrated on the Little House tv series from the 70s. But all in all, pride always leads to the wrong things. It throws virtues off balance.

Americans are especially full of self pride. SELF is the keyword here. They are dominated by individual needs above everyone else’s needs. Their idea of helping people is to send in the $19.95 to the charity with the saddest photos. Fools they are. They barely lift a finger for the needy. They spend ZERO time sacrificing their own time to make a real difference in their communities on GOD’s behalf. Church has become nothing more than a popular social hangout for doing all the things the Bible condemns.

Overall, America isn’t the problem as much as it is each person in this world being blinded by society. I have been a non conformist since I was 10 years old. I have been inside the bubble of society long enough to know how it operates. The whole thing is a well disguised scheme. You have two political parties who are on the same team. A bunch of actors. It’s like sports really. Who’s team you rooting for?? in the past ten years, there have been more and more people flip flopping between parties all because a President did something they don’t like. it’s all for show anyway. A way of keeping people caught up in society and targeted by media lies.

if people around the world were smart, they would toss their TVs into the trash and completely detach themselves from the mainstream. There is no room for virtues if a person’s mind is always full of crap. My 76 year old father lives and breathes satellite news. His mind is ugly because of it. Just a crusty old man nobody wants to be around. Once in awhile he will take a spell where he stays out of the house. He becomes easier to be around. The media was created with a purpose to influence and control people. It’s no good. And if you people were intelligent, you would turn away.

Time and worldly events prove GOD’s existence just through fulfilling the Bible’s written words. Regardless of what century it is, one can decipher daily events through the wisdom of reading it. it reminds me of that movie They Live where the guy puts on sunglasses to see how the world around him really looks. he is shocked to see that aliens are among us disguised as humans. Fooling us and slowly, little by little dominating us to the point of finally conquering. A fictional movie of course. but surprising in that it falls in line with Biblical principle. There are indeed entities that are secretly operating daily to turn us all into productive slave cattle. Imagine what you see when you look at a cow. You think about how it provides milk and meat. That’s all. That’s the way the rich people think of YOU. They wonder how they can use you to feed their greed and fill their pockets. They are selling you by making you sell yourself. We do indeed live in a sellout world in 2013.

When I look around, the only ones I see taking steps to find what it truly means to serve GOD are those who go Off The Grid. They are giving up the 9 to 5 madness in favor of a much simplified life to free up their time and devote to finding virtues and bringing others out of the bubble. This is what Jesus Christ did. And He told us to do the same.

Nowhere else but in America has the Gospel light shone so brightly and been snuffed out so throughly…..
Anyone who dares to confront her in hopes of inspiring possible national repentance is ridiculed, cursed and labeled a “Gloom and Doom” Prophet. Anyone seeking public office must first denounce any connection with God while publicly casting off biblical morality as “an outdated idea” whose time has long passed…….IF he or she is to have any chance of being elected. The American Media including the History Channel has and IS doing all it can to discredit Christianity through extremely negative programing. Strangely, this negativism does not extend to other faiths like Islam. In fact Hollywood and the Media in general have bent over backwards NOT to offend Muslims. I fear to think of what would have happened had Christian extremists crashed airliners into high rises in Saudi Arabia. It is likely that every known Christian in the country would have been rounded up and murdered! America now stands at the very edge of the Abyss with one foot dangling in space and the other on a banana peel. Our Churches are as guilty as the rest of the population because they’ve neglected to preach biblical truth preferring instead to “tickle the ears” of their congregations with warm, fuzzy, comfortable sermons designed to lull the people to sleep. America is simply not spiritually prepared for what is coming.

America is evil in another way, too. Americans absolutely hate and abhor everyone they don’t know. A default ice barrier exists between all strangers, hence the term “breaking the ice.” America is a toxic, soulless, socially disconnected, hateful, paranoid, and completely inauthentic society where everyone is expected to remain isolated and walled off from one another and live as hermits. Divorce rates are upwards of 50 percent. Roughly 90 percent of divorces in America are initiated by the woman, and so there are a growing number of boycotts against American women. There’s young guys leaving America just to find love!

Not so proud American: I agree with your assessment and the reason for this (and a lot of other things, such as spousal abuse, most often the WOMAN abusing the man verbally and psychologically), child abuse where one child is put on a pedestal and another is made a SCAPEGOAT, and workplace bullying which is RAMPANT IN AMERICA, is caused by an INFESTATION OF CLUSTER Bs (narcissists, psychopaths, sociopaths, borderlines) which are the BIblical TARES and are described in GENEsis 3:15 as having SEPARATE GENETICS and are at “enmity” with the people made in God’s image (from Adam and Eve).

The corrupt genetics come from Eve “eating” the corrupt “fruit” in the garden (metaphor for sex with the Serpent. The story they teach in “church” is total bunk. And no wonder since the bible seminaries are owned by the khazarian faux jews destroying this nation (aka Rothschilds/Rockefellers et al) also known and referred to by Jesus as the “Synagogue of Satan” Rev 2:9 and 3:9.

“Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.” Proverbs 30:20

Obviously, God is not referring to Kentucky Fried Chicken in this verse. And the Rhogam shot is what has allowed these servants of satan to breed and prolifigate. God made women’s bodies to naturally REJECT THIS CORRUPT SEED by miscarrying so these evil bastards inject them with the RHOGAM which allows Satan’s seed to spread and now they outnumber normal humans by 85% (15% of us still normal and the number is shrinking).

This is why so many are self centered, entitled, uninterested in the Truth of facts, hate those who give them truth or facts, and are out to secretly slander and make those of the truth look evil while they wear a FAKE MASK of “righteousness”.

These creatures are EVERYWHERE and it is truly becoming a NIGHTMARE for normal, empathic human beings! And to make it worse, our society PROTECTS THESE WICKED SCUM BAGS! Just try to expose them by writing a letter to the editor or trying to get it reported on the MSM. Not gonna happen. Instead they brainwash everyone to believe psychopaths are Ted Bundys and Jeffrey Dahmers (which make up a mere 1 percent of them and are considered the FAILURES).

The others are MUCH MORE SNEAKY AND CUNNING. They cause the victims to KILL THEMSELVES instead of doing the actual killing. Or they cause them to die from AUTO IMMUNE DISEASES which their CONSTANT ABUSE CAUSES: Lupus, psoriasis, cancer, fibromyaligia, etc. TARES ARE TOXIC! AND DEADLY! BEWARE OF NARCISSISTS. When they seek you out they will flatter and love bomb you long enough to get you to let down your guard then they will systematically DESTROY YOU. “For they cannot sleep unless they do evil; And they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone stumble.” Proverbs 4:16

O boy. Missing the root completely. Let me put it simple. There are two thieves next to Christ. If the Christ was not there between them both would have been the subject to annihilation out of existence itself for ever and ever and ever. However, listen closely “both are thieves”. Every one on the earth is a thief that tries to steal the ‘divinity’ of right and wrong set by the Almighty One Himself. Only Christ and those that the Almighty directly anoints blameless are not thieves. Leave the power games to the power hungry. They will destroy each other over and over and over again from the one generation to the next.

While I did like Ron Paul and all he stood for, I’m afraid that even if he did become president at this point that it wouldn’t save this nation. Just from the facts that 3,000 or more babies get aborted daily in this country(infanticide) and this nation’s acceptance of sodomites, I can say with a great deal of certainty that this nation is on an irreversible tailspin into the toilet of history. As the prophet Jeremiah told the nation of Judah how its sins/transgressions are gonna bring God’s wrath down upon them, I tell people in this nation that God’s wrath is gonna come down upon them as well because of this nation’s sins/transgressions. I firmly believe that the coming of the millennial reign of Christ is the only thing that’ll make things improve in this world, nothing else.

I agree with some comments here and there. However, remember remember, Love one another. I am LDS. I do not believe in fingerpointing and blaming. I am sad about the abortions taking place, that is also a lack of love for ones neighbor. A basic commandment from Jesus Christ.
