Imagine what would have happened if they didn't uphold the ruling. This court was a sham from the beginning. Note the timing though. Politics is all about timing. Saddam was sentenced quite quickly back in October, conveniently just a few weeks before the November election. Now he will be executed just moments before Bush's State of the Union address in January, the surge Bush will implement (against his military advisers's best advice), all to take away the spotlight from the Democrats taking control of Congress, the agenda, and most importantly, as this is the key to politics, taking control of media attention. Of course they would. Imagine what would have happened if they didn’t uphold the ruling. This court was a sham from the beginning.

We even gave the thumbs up to attack Kuwait for slant drilling and a dispute over territory. We double crossed him like we do all the dictators we place in power. Manuel Noriega, and others are prime examples.
