CotM: IHOP National Pancake Day

Few charitable opportunities yield such an immediate and savory reward as IHOP‘s National Pancake Day. Since 2006, IHOP has sponsored a day each year where they give each guest one stack of their famous buttermilk pancakes. In return, they ask that you donate to the Children’s Miracle Network which supports local children’s hospitals. (To facilitate this, a collection box is placed near the cash register at the front where you can make your donation.)

Think of it as similar to fasting—except instead of not eating and donating your money, you get to eat instead of go hungry. Talk about a win-win situation!

So, mark your calendars for February 24th, from 7am to 10pm, and bring some cash to donate. Their goal this year is to raise $1 million in donations. Your empty stomach and generous wallet can help achieve that goal.
