I, too have been uplifted and learned much from people who have very little in the way of material goods. Although connecting with the individuals we are helping is a worthy goal, I believe there is also a place for anonymous giving to those in material need. IMO, both are ways of becoming instruments in the Lord's hands. This is a wonderful post, and I agree that we all can give to each other if we are humble and open-hearted in our relationships.

If you're in a relationship where you think you've got nothing to gain (because of your "high and mighty" station as you put it), you're probably missing out on something really great. Well said.
