Security and Prosperity Partnership—North America Union?

Okay, so I just now came across this video clip on YouTube of a CNN report about the “Security and Prosperity Partnership”. Seems to me (at first glance) to be yet another attempt to minimize the sovereignty of the United States, to which I am utterly opposed. The fact that nobody else has reported much about this is additionally alarming and disconcerting. While the goals of the partnership seem trivial and minute, it leads down a slipperly slope of a loss of national identity and independence.
