Well, it’s been a while since I last made an entry in this thing. Perhaps because I didn’t care to write anything else, or perhaps because you people should find something better to do than to read my incoherent ramblings.

But alas, people have been viewing this thing lately for one reason or another, and I’m sure they find my dating drama (well, as of many moons ago) quite entertaining. Not much to report now, except that my ex-girlfriend got married this weekend, and I’m still on the proverbial prowl.

Life has been good lately. I’ve been working full time, going to school full time, managing two church callings, and doing a couple volunteer things. I keep busy. Don’t meet new girls that much, but oh well. I’m pretty much expecting that the Lord will drop my wife on my lap. That would be rad.

I turn like 40 years old in a couple weeks. Okay, 24. But when you’re a year away from the haunting “menace to society” status (thanks Brigham!) and still in Provoland, the impending increase in age is a bit daunting. Oh well, c’est la vie.

Wolp, that’s about enough for now. If you’re reading this, go do something more productive.

Wow, two more days will make a year. I guess you’re a menace to society now. Well, if you have no prospects by now, you can date my sister ;)

Oh great, you had to go back and dig up this post? I’d rather pretend another year hasn’t passed by… :)

The age which Bro. Brigham said has been disputed, as has the entire quote, since a reference has never been found. Ernest L. Wilkinson has said:

“As to the single men, I need merely to repeat the admonition attributed to Brigham Young, “Every man not married and over twenty-five is a menace to the community.” I asked Dr. Lyman Tyler yesterday if he would document this for me, but he said he had been trying to document it for years; he had given up, so you will have to accept it either on faith, or as apocryphal.” (Commencement Exercises May 31, 1963 BYU Speeches of the Year, p.1)

Since I turn 25 in a couple weeks, I’m going to take the stance that it’s apocryphal. :)
