Sometimes people hear my accent and ask where I’m from. I’ve started to tell them I’m from the “former USA”. I’ve watching the country drifting toward something-or-other for a few years now, but this is the one decision that tells me, Yup, it’s not the place I grew up in anymore. It’s something else.
