Salt Lake City is one of the most wicked cities of the world because most all members of the Church have rejected Christ & his Gospel after receiving it so abundantly & instead have chosen to support or do evil.

As far as SLC becoming one of the wicked cities of the world, what was the first wickedness that caused Satin to be cast out of heaven? You guessed it, he was trying to take away free agency. He was going to make us be good. The Utah State legislature has taken away more free agency than any entity I know of except the U.S. Congress. When a law is created it must be backed up by fines or jail or both. If you don’t think you need to pay the fine then you wind up in jail, if you don’t want to go to jail, you wind up tazerd or shot. I don’t want you to eat too much salt, I don’t want you to drink, too many trans-fats bud, I don’t want you to take drugs, I don’t want you to smoke (anything!), I don’t want you to eat meat, I don’t want you to buy toy looking cigarette lighters, buckle up for safety, you must close your store on Sunday, you must get a permit to protect yourself, you must pay taxes so we can impose all these laws. And while I am at it, please pay for my food, housing, medical, education etc. If I see you spank your kid or kick your dog you had just better watch it! If you want to build a Tuff Shed on your property make sure you ask me first and pay for a permit. When riding your bike make sure you have your helmet on. Don’t you even think of looking at that dirty picture. Put away that cell phone when driving. If I think of anything else that would be good for you or I just don’t like, I will write another law. I know there are thousands of laws but don’t you think there is room for a few more?

In a recent visit to SLC to help my beautiful daughter, I watched one of the local news channels and was somewhat suprised by the growing pride that I had viewed.

These news anchors, bickering amongst each other struck me as “wannabes”. I believe many of them want SLC to become, like San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York! A deep sense of sadness came over me, because I thought they will get what they hope for, unless, enough good people say enough is enough. We are returning to our roots, our religion and our traditions. We do not wish to be like the rest of the world!

Truly, I believe it is Salt Lake Cities choice!

We should certainly look for the fulfillment of this prophecy. But the time is not yet.

Salt Lake City is not yet “classed” among the wicked cities of the world.

Try and name anyone of notable reputation who has classed it as such, LDS or non-LDS.

“Spirit of speculation and extravagence will take possession of the Saints and the results will be financial bondage.” Utah is the #1 state for new start up companies and MLM’s. We have so many connections because of the Church and that leads us to more ideas and opportunities. We need to use the spirit when it comes to involving those we love and care for. Sharing the gospel, home teaching and encouraging others is more important than being “rich in the eyes of the world”. We need to teach “living within our means” instead of “make more money by working more”.

I love this quote! I’ve used it for 10 years and it applies more and more each year. It’s fun to watch the faces of those hearing it for the first time.

I wonder if Mayor Rocky Anderson knows of this prophecy and all his work is to see that it is fulfilled ;)

This struck me as most interesting:

I have to admit, I’ve been caught up to this thinking debt was normal and things would get better (somehow all by itself). Now I’m wiser and I’m following Dave Ramsey zealously to get out of debt for good.
